To address current compliance risks for their business traveler population, an engineering company engaged GTN to implement a process to track their business travelers, manage their risks, and support business traveler their program moving forward.
The Challenges
- A large number of business travelers working across state and country borders with no solid process to track what risks or regulatory requirements they were incurring
- Many risks including reputational damage to the company, financial harm to employees, and non-compliance issues for both
- Complicated process of sending the same information to multiple vendors including their immigration firm, payroll provider, tax firm, and employer of record
The Solution
- Design a suite of policies including a business traveler policy that fully defined their business traveler program and the employee requirements needed to keep travelers compliant
- Implement a process which includes change management, process mapping and flows, and decision-making escalation points
